Québec - Introduction to Bike Packing
Discover lesser-known roads north of Montréal, Québec while pedalling sections of Le P’tit Train du Nord through Quebec’s Laurentian Mountains. Explore Quebec's countryside with great places to stay and eat along the way. Step back in time and experience one of Canada’s most unique cultural landscapes. Enjoy the vibrant sights and sounds of Montréal before the trip and the picturesque towns and landscapes along the route.
See the beautiful colors of fall at their best! The region of Lanaudière and Laurentides is part of central Québec and is located between the Saint Lawrence River and the Laurentian Mountains, between Mauricie and the Laurentides. Lanaudière attracts a good deal of interest from vacationers due to its unique character founded largely on the harmony between its culture and the surrounding natural environment.

Day 1 : 45km: Leaving from Rawdon to go to Notre-Dame de la Merci. We will stay in the beautiful shelters of Kabania. Relaxation, hamocks and good food to end the day! The shelters of Kabania, more than just a moment of relaxation!
Day 2 : From Notre-Dame de la Merci to Val David (60 km): The wild landscape of Lanaudière will be with us for the majority of the day. We will cross some towns, but mostly lakes and mountains. Nature and scenery guaranteed! Stay at the hostel of Baril Roulant, a microbrewery and a hostel. It's at this moment that we will surely yell : "Cheers, innkeeper!" A well deserved reward!
Day 3 : From Val David to Mont-Tremblant (47 km):The famous Petit Train du Nord bike trial will take us directly to Mont-Tremblant. It will be a day of peace in complete nature. We will stay at Mont-Tremblant, in condos, and we will have time to walk a little, enjoy the spa and play tourists! For those who will still be able to do physical exercice, the climbing of Mont-Tremblant for a hike or other bike loops are possible to spend the afternoon!
Day 4 : Day of rest at Mont-Tremblant or extra bike loop. Those who never had the chance to visit Mont-Tremblant will have the day to do it! For the others who want to do a bike extra, some great opportunities are offered! Mont-Tremblant is a beautiful region to ride, go on a hike or just walk in town.
Day 5 : From Mont-Tremblant to Saint-Donat (70 km). This is the challenge of the week! The very famous Nordet route, which is also part of the yearly Ironman, is a nice climb with a very rewarding view! We will ride part of the well known Ironman road of Mont-Tremblant. Beautiful winding roads with impeccable asphalt! Le Nordet will take us to Saint-Donat. It is a long and quiet road that doesn't cross any villages! Don't forget to fill your water bottles for the day! You will probably test all the gears to climb the hills.
Day 6 : Return to Rawdon passing by St-Côme and St-Alphonse de Rodriguez (77km). This is a day that will be a great reward! It is downhill most of the way, (okay, well... there will be some hills!). It's a great way to end the trip!
